Not a real treasure map

Designed initially as a post-credits animation for the Netflix show "Gold & Greed: The Hunt for Fenn's Treasure," Justin Posey repurposed this map animation for his website "Beyond the Map's Edge"--detailing his treasure hunt.

I want to avoid alluding to any clues here on this page for the same reason that animation ended up not being used in the show. Inspired by Emin Jamalov's map illustration (featured at the end of the animation), I created the preceding map vignettes out of random GIS data selections. I picked map data purely based on aesthetics. I added more details and colors to the geography--distorting that reality further. Any possible clues or hints are unintentional, as I do not know the treasure's location.
